“ Any person who refuses to give access to, or obstructs, hinders or delays any authorised officer, police officer or customs officer in the performance and execution of his duty or of anything he is required to do by virtue or in consequence of or under this Act shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to both. ”

“ The Controller may refuse to issue a Singapore passport to a person if, before the passport application under consideration is made, 2 or more Singapore passports issued to the person have been lost or stolen and for reasons of passport security and integrity, the Controller considers that it is not desirable to issue that person with another Singapore passport. ”

“ Every person who, immediately before the appointed day, is an authorised officer under the repealed Act shall continue in such appointments as if he is an authorised officer under this Act, and his appointment shall expire on the day his appointment would have expired if this Act had not been enacted. ”
