“ O Lord our God, let not man prevail against thee.και εβόησεν Ασά προς κύριον θεόν αυτού και είπε κύριε ουκ αδυνατεί παρά σοι σώζειν εν πολλοίς η εν ολίγοις βοήθησον ημίν κύριε ο θεός ημών ότι επί σοι πεποίθαμεν και εν τω ονόματί σου ήλθομεν επί το πλήθος το πολύ τούτο κύριε ο θεός ημών συ ει ο θεός μη κατισχυσάτω προς σε άνθρωπος 12And the Lord smote the Ethiopians before Juda; and the Ethiopians fled.και επάταξε κύριος τους Αιθίοπας εναντίον Ασά και εναντίον Ιούδα και έφυγον Αιθίοπες 13And Asa and his people pursued them to Gedor ”

“ And the people were encouraged at the words of Ezekias king of Juda.μετ ́ αυτού βραχίονες σαρκικοί μεθ ́ ημών δε κύριος ο θεός ημών του σώζειν και του πολεμείν τον πόλεμον ημών και κατεθάρσησεν ο λαός επί τοις λόγοις Εζεκίου βασιλέως Ιούδα 9And afterward Sennacherim king of the Assyrians sent his servants to Jerusalem ”

“ And they said, Go up, and God shall deliver it into the hands of the king.και συνήγαγεν ο βασιλεύς Ισραήλ τους προφήτας τετρακοσίους άνδρας και είπεν αυτοίς ει πορευθώ εις Ραμώθ Γαλαάδ εις πόλεμον η επίσχω και είπον ανάβαινε και δώσει ο θεός εις τας χείρας του βασιλέως 6And Josaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord besides, that we may enquire of him?και είπεν Ιωσαφάτ ουκ έστιν ώδε προφήτης του κυρίου έτι και επιζητήσομεν παρ ́ αυτού 7And the king of Israel said to Josaphat, There is yet one man by whom to enquire of the Lord ”

“ And the man of God said, The Lord can give thee much more than these.και είπεν Αμασίας τω ανθρώπω του θεού και τι ποιήσω τοις εκατόν ταλάντοις οις έδωκα τη δυνάμει Ισραήλ και είπεν ο άνθρωπος του θεού έστι τω κυρίω δούναί σοι πλείστα τούτων 10And Amasias separated from the army that came to him from Ephraim, that they might go away to their place ”

“ Then the king hearkened to them.και εγένετο μετά την τελευτήν Ιωδαέ εισήλθον οι άρχοντες Ιούδα και προσεκύνησαν τον βασιλέα τότε επήκουσεν ο βασιλεύς αυτών 18And they forsook the house of the Lord God of their fathers, and served the Astartes and idols: and there was wrath upon Juda and Jerusalem in that day.και εγκατέλιπον τον οίκον κυρίου του θεού των πατέρων αυτών και ελάτρευσαν τη Αστάρτη και τοις ειδώλοις και εγένετο οργή επί Ιούδαν και επί Ιερουσαλήμ εν τη πλημμελεία αυτών 19yet he sent prophets to them, to turn them to the Lord ”

“ And one spoke this way, and another spoke that way.και είπε κύριος τις απατήσει τον Αχαάβ βασιλέα Ισραήλ και αναβήσεται και πεσείται εις Ραμώθ Γαλαάδ και είπεν ούτος ούτως και ούτος είπεν ούτως 20And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will deceive him. And the Lord said, Whereby?και εξήλθε το πνεύμα και έστη ενώπιον κυρίου και είπεν εγώ απατήσω αυτόν και είπε κύριος εν τίνι 21And he said, I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. ”

“ And he departed without honour, and was buried in the city of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.ην τριάκοντα και δύο ετών εν τω εβασιλεύειν αυτόν και οκτώ έτη εβασίλευσεν εν Ιερουσαλήμ και επορεύθη εν ουκ επαίνω και ετάφη εν πόλει Δαυίδ και ουκ εν τάφοις των βασιλέων
Chapter 22 1And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ochozias his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of robbers that came against them, even the Arabians and the Alimazonians, had slain all the elder ones. ”

“ Chapter 20 1And after this came the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them some of the Minaeans, against Josaphat to battle.και μετά ταύτα ήλθον οι υιοί Μωάβ και υιοί Αμμών και μετ ́ αυτών εκ των Αμμανιτών επί Ιωσαφάτ εις πόλεμον 2And they came and told Josaphat, saying, There is come against thee a great multitude from Syria, from beyond the sea ”
