“ And alle þe dwellers of Egipt shulen wite, for I þe Lord. For þat þat þou was a staf of reed to þe hows of Israel, whanne þei token þee to hoond, and þou art broken to gidre, and hast drawe al þe shuldre of hem, and hem lenynge, or trustinge, vpon þee, þou art maad litil, and hast dissoluyd, or vndon, alle þe reynes of hem; þerfor þes þingis seiþ þe Lord God, Loo! Y shal leede to on þee swerd, and I shal slee of þee man and beest; and þe loond of Egipt shal be in to deseert and wildirnes, and þei shulen wite, for Y þe Lord. For þat þat þou seidist, Þe flood is myn, and I made it, þerfor loo! ”
