And þe spirit is he þat witnessiþ, þat Crist is treuþe. For þre ben, þat ȝiuen witnessing in heuen, þe Fadir, þe Word, or Sone, and þe Hooly Goost; and þes þre ben oon. And þre ben, þat ȝiuen witnessing in erþe, þe spirit, water, and blood; and þes þre ben oon. If we receyuen witnessing of men, þe witnessing of God is more; for þis is þe witnessing of God, þat is more, for he witnesside of his sone. ”
