Ebenezer Erskine, Believer exalted in imputed righteousness (1800)
“ I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God, who hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, and covered me with the robes of righteousness; as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with jewels. The poor soul that was black by lying among the pots, when clothed with this robe, shines as the wings of a dove covered with silver and her feathers with yellow gold. ”
