“ Green, Edward Howland Robinson, railroad president and capitalist of New York City, was born Aug. 22, 1868, in London, England; and is the son of Mrs. Hetty Green, the richest woman in America. He graduated from Fordham College of New York, and subsequently he studied law in Chicago, Ill. After admission to the bar he entered the railway service and served consecutively as clerk, foreman, superintendent and general manager; and is today the youngest railroad president in the world, being president of the Texas Midland Railroad, residing at Terrell. ”
