“ Before each audit the auditor gives notice of the time and place appointed, and the council publish the appointment by advertisement. A copy of the accounts has to be deposited for public inspection for seven days before the audit. The auditor has the fullest powers of investigation; he may require the production of any books or papers, and he may require the attendance before him of any person accountable. ”

⁠An audit institution shall exercise auditing oversight over the assets, liabilities, profits, losses, and other revenue and expenditure of the state-owned enterprises, state-owned financial institutions, and the enterprises or financial institutions controlled or dominated by the state-owned capital. ”

“ REPORTS TO AUDIT COMMITTEES— Each registered public accounting firm that performs for any issuer any audit required by this title shall timely report to the audit committee of the issuer— `` (1) all critical accounting policies and practices to be used; `` (2) all alternative treatments of financial information within generally accepted accounting principles that have been discussed with management officials of the issuer, ramifications of the use of such alternative disclosures and treatments, and the treatment preferred by the registered public accounting firm ”

“ A properly appointed Board of Audit of Accounts, securing good value for moneys expended. A Government audit does not provide this. Money may not be actually misappropriated, but it may be grievously misspent. ”

spending units, and public corporations will undertake internal audits, and is responsible for
ensuring that the internal audit process is conducted in accordance with these rules and
procedures. ”

“ The company's accountants must produce the annual and other financial statements. It is not the responsibility of the auditors whose obligation is to report to the shareholders on the credibility and legality of the financial statements. The shareholders may appoint an audit committee to review the audit reports on their behalf. ”

“ The P. R. O. contains Chamber Accounts in four forms. Original Accounts, as submitted for audit, are in Audit Office, Accounts Various, 3/127–9. These are no doubt the ‘very incomplete’ set from which extracts are given by Cunningham, xxvii. “ The term `generally accepted government auditing standards' means the generally accepted government auditing standards of the Comptroller General of the United States. " (5) The term `numeric materiality standard' means a dollar amount of misstatements, including omissions, contained in an incurred cost audit that would be material if the misstatements, individually or in the aggregate, could reasonably be expected to influence the economic decisions of the Government made on the basis of the incurred cost audit. ”

“ Annual report Not later than March 31 of each year, the Librarian of Congress shall prepare and submit to Congress an audited financial statement for the revolving fund for the preceding fiscal year. The audit shall be conducted in accordance with Government Auditing Standards for financial audits issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. ”

“ To this end, the Council and the European Parliament in turn shall examine the accounts and the financial statement referred to in Article 78d, the annual report by the Court of Auditors together with the replies of the institutions under audit to the observations of the Court of Auditors, the statement of assurance referred to in Article 45c (1) , second subparagraph, and any relevant special reports by the Court of Auditors.’

“ No bank shall appoint the same auditor continuously for a period of more than 5 years
without an exemption granted by the CBI.
5. In accordance with internationally-recognized auditing standards and any standards issued
by regulation of the CBI, the auditor shall audit the bank’s operations on a consolidated basis
and:
a. issue a statement to the bank indicating whether the auditor or any member of the
audit firm: (i) holds an ownership interest in the bank; and (ii) complies with the
provision of paragraph (3) ”

“ The Public Auditor shall be free from any control or influence by any person or organization.The Public Auditor shall inspect and audit accounts in every branch, department, agency, or statutory authority of the national government, and in all other public legal entities or nonprofit organizations receiving public funds from the national government. ”

The experience and professional knowledge of trained accountants have, in fact, been utilized by their appointment as auditors in the majority of joint-stock companies, whether manufacturing, banking, trading or created for any other purpose. ”

“ Each bank shall send copies of the audit report to the CBI not later than 30 days after it
becomes available. Where the CBI is not satisfied with the auditor’s report, it may require the
appointment of another auditor to prepare a new audit report within a specified time.
