“ Do not give your daughter to his son, or take his daughter for your son, 4 because your son will be turned away from following me, and they will serve other gods, and the anger of Yahweh will burn hot against them, and destroy you suddenly. 5 But this is how you must deal with them: tear down their altars, and shatter their sacred pillars, and cut down Asherahs, and burn their carved images with fire, 6 because you are a holy people to Yahweh your god. Yahweh your god chose you to be his people, treasured beyond all the peoples who live on the earth. ”

“ You know all the hardship that has found us, 15 how our ancestors went down to Egypt, and we stayed in Egypt a long time, and the Egyptians mistreated us ourselves and our ancestors. 16 We cried out to Yahweh, and he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and brought us out of Egypt, and here we are: at Kadesh, a city at the edge of your territory. ”

“ There you will bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the heave-offerings of your hands, and all your choice vows which you vow to Yahweh. 12 And you will celebrate before Yahweh your god: you, your sons, your daughters, your male and female slaves, and the Levite who lives within your gates, because he has no allotted inheritance with you. 13 Be careful not to offer your burnt offerings in just any place that you see. ”

“ A man will die for his own sin.
17 You must not deny justice to a foreigner or an orphan, and you must not take a widow's clothing in pledge. 18 Remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and Yahweh your god delivered you from there. That is why I command you to do this thing.
19 When you harvest your grain in your field, and leave a sheaf in the field, you must not go back to retrieve it. It will be for the foreigner, for the orphan, and for the widow, so that Yahweh your god may bless you in everything your hands do. ”

“ The murderer must be put to death. 18 And if he strikes him with a wooden instrument in his hand, which could kill a person, he is a murderer. The murderer must be put to death. 19 The avenger of blood is the one who will kill the murderer. ”

“ And he wrote them on two tablets of stone, and gave them to me.
23 Now, when you heard the voice from within the darkness, and the mountain burned with fire, you approached me, all your tribal leaders and elders. 24 And you said, We see that Yahweh our god showed his glory and power, and we heard his voice from within the fire today. We have seen that God speaks with humans, and lives. 25 And now why should we die? For this great fire will devour us. If we heard the voice of Yahweh our god any more, then we will die. ”

“ It will be an everlasting rule throughout your generations, that among the Israelites they have no inheritance, 24 because the tithes of the Israelites, which they raise to Yahweh as a heave-offering, I have given to the Levites as an inheritance. ”

“ Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet. 6 You have not eaten bread, and you have not drunk wine or beer, so that you would know that I, Yahweh, am your god. 7 And when you came to this place, Sihon king of Heshbon and Og king of the Bashan came out to meet us for battle, and we defeated them. 8 And we took their land, and gave it as an inheritance to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh. 9 Keep the words of this covenant, and do them, in order to prosper in all that you do. ”

“ May Yahweh make you a scourge and a curse among your people, as Yahweh will make your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell. 22 And these cursing waters shall enter your stomach, to make your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell. ”

“ He is your god, who has done for you these great and terrifying things which your eyes have seen. 22 As seventy persons your ancestors went down into Egypt, and now Yahweh your god has made you like the stars of the sky in number. ”

“ When you have heaved the best of it, it is to be counted to the Levites like the increase of a threshing-floor, or as the increase of a winepress. 31 You may eat of it anywhere, you and your households, because it is your wages in exchange for your service in the Tent of Meeting. 32 You will not bear the responsibility for any sin, if you have offered the best of it as a heave-offering. You must not pollute the holy things of the Israelites, or else you die. ”

“ Weeks, you will have a holy convocation. You are to do no ordinary work. 27 And you will offer a burnt offering as a soothing scent for Yahweh: two young bulls, one ram, seven lambs a year old; 28 and their meal-offering of fine flour mixed with oil, three issaron for one bull, two issaron for one ram, 29 an issaron for each lamb, for each of the seven lambs; 30 one goat kid, to make atonement for you. ”

“ You must root out the evil among you.
22 If a man is found having intercourse with a woman married to a husband, then both of them must die, the man who lay with the woman as well as the woman. You must put away the evil from Israel.
23 If there is a young woman, a virgin, betrothed to a man, and someone finds her in the city and lays with her, 24 then you will bring them both to that city's gate, and stone them with stones until death: the young woman because she did not scream in the city, and the man because he has disgraced his neighbor's wife. You must put the evil away from among you. ”

“ This great nation is a wise and clever people!"
7 For which great nation has a god as close to it as Yahweh our God, [as in] all the times we called to Him.
8 And which great nation has righteous laws and judgements like this Torah, which I am placing before you?
9 Only, be careful, and guard yourselves closely, lest you forget the things your eyes saw, and lest they pass away from your heart, all the days of your life. And you shall inform your sons and grandsons of them. ”

“ Give us an inheritance of land alongside our father's relatives."
5 And Moses presented their case before Yahweh.
6 Yahweh said to Moses, 7 "The daughters of Zelophehad speak rightly. You must give them an inheritance of land among their father's relatives and pass their father's inheritance on to them. 8 Tell this to the Israelites. If a man dies, and has no son, you must pass his inheritance on to his daughter. 9 And if he has no daughter, then you will pass his inheritance on to his brothers. 10 And if he has no brothers, then you will pass his inheritance on to his father's brothers. ”

“ It has consumed Ar of Moab, the lords of the shrines of Arnon. 29 Woe to you, Moab! You are destroyed, people of Chemosh! He has given his sons who have escaped, and his daughters, into captivity to the king of the Amorites, Sihon. 30 We have shot arrows at them; Heshbon is destroyed as far as Dibon, and we have plundered them as far as Nophach, which reaches to Medeba."
31 So Israel settled in the land of the Amorites. 32 And Moses sent out spies to Jaazer, and they seized its villages, and drove out the Amorites who were there. ”

“ Suppose you hear in one of your cities, which Yahweh has given you to live in, 13 (14) "Worthless men have gone out from among you, and have incited the inhabitants of their city, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods,'" whom you have not known before. 14 (15) Then you must make a thorough and diligent investigation. And if it should really be true that this loathsome thing has been done among you, 15 (16) you must certainly kill the inhabitants of that city by the mouth of the sword, dedicating it to extermination, [25] and all who are in it, even its livestock, by the mouth of the sword. ”

“ Chapter 30 1 And Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes about the Israelites, and said:
This is what Yahweh commanded. 2 If a man makes a vow to Yahweh, or swears an oath to bind his soul, he must not break his word. He must do everything that came out of his mouth.
3 If a woman makes a vow to Yahweh, and binds herself by a promise while she is still a youth in her father's house, 4 and her father hears her vow, and the bond with which she has bound her soul, and her father holds his peace with her, then all her vowes will stand, and every bond with which she has bound her soul will stand. ”

“ And they shall guard their priesthood, but the foreigner [non-Levite] who comes near will be killed.
11 And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying:
12 See, I have taken the Levites from among the sons of Israel, instead of every eldest son who opens the womb, among the sons of Israel. And the Levites shall be mine. 13 For all the eldest sons are mine. On the day I struck every eldest son in the land of Egypt, I sanctified every eldest son in Israel to me. They shall be mine, man and beast alike. I am Yahweh. ”

“ He will let the one he has chosen come near him. 6 Do this. Take yourselves fire-pans, Korah and all his congregation, 7 and put hot coals [102] in them, and put incense in them before Yahweh tomorrow. Then, the man whom Yahweh chooses will be holy. Enough with you, Levites!" [103]
8 And Moses said to Korah, "Listen now, sons of Levi. 9 Is it a small thing for you that the god of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near himself to carry out the service of Yahweh's tabernacle, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them? ”
