“ And let us merit to awaken Your true compassions upon us, and let us be considered before You like an only son, like a treasured son, like a dear son, like a son entreating before his father and doing for him his will in love, in charity and compassion and pity and entreating, and let us pour our hearts like water in front of Your face Hashem. ”

“ The essence of awakening the dawn is for the rectification of prayer, in order to merit to pray the morning prayer with great feeling and with a full heart. Because by awakening the dawn and engaging in Torah and service, through opening paths of intellect and we merit to nullify doubts and heresies. Then we merit 'full knowledge', where 'the whole world is filled with His glory'. This is the aspect of 'I have set Hashem before me always', etc., as explained above. Through knowing with a full heart that the whole world is filled with His glory, we merit to pray with great devotion. ”

“ For, by human intellect it is impossible to perceive any thing completely and truly. And therefore when one enters some wisdom without Emunah, God forbid, behold, his intellect is like one imprisoned and captured in prison who cannot get out. ”

“ For, there is a very great angel, who has a thousand heads, and each head has a thousand tongues, and each tongue has a thousand voices, and each voice has a thousand melodies; and when this angel stands up to sing, it is certainly so very beautiful and pleasant that it is totally inestimable and inconceivable. And now, let a man himself remember his inferiority and lowliness compared to this -- so how can he endure his life? He will certainly be so disgusted with his life that he dies before his time. ”

“ And whoever was not privileged to see the awe that was constantly upon his face, has never ever seen awe. And all the kinds of worldly charm were upon him, and he was full of the most wonderful fear and love in the world. ”

“ For all the hairs of the beard are very supernal and lofty and awesome pipes, and there is no one who can conceive and grasp in his mind the astounding loftiness of the holiness of the holy beard, and vice-versa it is unfathomable, God spare us, the punishment of one who destroys and raises his hand and spoils such a lofty holiness. But due to our many sins, over the length of time many of them have broken through the fence, and they transgress five negative commandments boldly and they destroy the beard with an actual razor. ”

“ For when a man sees that he is far from Hashem Yitbarakh, etc., this is like sleep, which is one sixtieth of death, and when he seeks and asks and finds in himself some good point still, and livens and rejoices himself and wakes himself to the service of Hashem Yitbarakh, through this — this is like waking from sleep. ”

“ For in truth I myself am the liable one from all the sides, and this too I do not merit to say for truth’s sake alone, but only by mouth, but You are good to all and full of compassion at all times, and You have already done many favors and great mercies and unfathomable wonders with me. ”

“ Spend your days with Torah and devotion and you will be immune to the world's travail. You will shake off the toil and struggle of worldly concerns and no longer taste the bitterness of soul they have to offer. ”

“ Regarding what is written there in Moreh Nebukhim, "Can God make a triangle a square?" - Rabbeinu z"l said, "I believe that Hashem Yitbarakh can make a triangle into square. For God's ways are beyond our view, He is the Omnipotent, and there's nothing He can't do." ”

“ Hence, even the constriction itself, which is the Vacated Space, with Wisdom becomes like all of Creation itself, as by Wisdom it becomes the aspect of, "With wisdom You have made them all" [Ps. 104:24] , only it is impossible to discern it in this world with this intellect, how in truth even in the Vacated Space there is His Blessed light, which is the light of Wisdom. But nevertheless it is vacated in order that there should be space for Creation. ”

“ For, without Emunah, the consciousness and intellect is bound and captive in exile and captivity, for it cannot go out from the confusions by means of intellect alone without Emunah, as mentioned. But when he has Emunah, the aspect of Shabbath, it is in the aspect of freedom, for his consciousness is free, for he knows everything in completion by means of Emunah alone, by means of believing the words of our holy rabbis and forefathers, and then he has a foundation to stand on, which is the Emunah, on which everything stands. ”

“ If you have eyes to see and a heart that truly understands the world, you know this. If you have absorbed the wisdom contained in the Rebbe's awesome teachings, you know the truth. The Mishnah means exactly what it says. The wealthiest people in the world will tell you that the world is filled with worry and suffering. The rich suffer as much as everyone else. Thus, our Sages teach us, “The more property, the more worries” (Avot 2:7) . The poor may not realize this. They may think that they would no longer have problems if they were wealthy. ”

“ This was a recurrent, pleasant saying in the mouth of Rabbeinu z"l: How good it is to thank Hashem for sending us the faithful one of his house, who is Moshe Rabbeinu r.i.p., who delivered us from all the confusions, and gave us the Torah, and ordered us to believe in Hashem without any questioning, and to perform all the words of the Torah and their commandments in their simple sense. Fortunate is whoever is privileged to conduct himself in simplicity! ”

“ For each and every letter and word of our holy Torah -- Written Torah and Oral Torah -- and each mitzvah and each kosher custom of Yisrael the holy and chosen people, are all dimensions and constrictions through which we merit to attain perceptions of His Blessed Divinity, each one according to what he fits in his heart, according to what he merits via his service and effort in Torah, mitzvot and good deeds, and separation from the bad. ”

“ Full of Compassion at All Times, have mercy on our souls and spirits and breaths, and strengthen and encourage them in Your holy awe, and abound upon them and water them from the waterings of the Garden of Eden. ”

“ The Rebbe therefore stressed, 'Repent one day before your death.' 'Before your death' is your entire life. During your entire lifetime, you may only be worthy of one day of repentance. This one day is more precious than all treasures. For what does a person gain from all his worldly effort? ”

“ In fear and trembling let us make You king over us, and let us be privileged to feel the awesome fear of You in all our 248 limbs and 365 sinews, and let the fear of You be over our faces, so that we commit no error or transgression at all, neither unintentional nor deliberate, from now until forever. And let the fear of Hashem hover over us constantly, in complete truth and steadfastness, till we merit through the fear of Hashem to prolong and expand our days and to add, every day, every period, and every hour, an addition of extra holiness. ”
