Summary

1 Kings — Free Bible

“ Your wisdom and wealth exceeds the report that I heard. 8 How fortunate are your men! How fortunate are these servants of yours, who stand before you continually, hearing your wisdom. 9 Blessed be Yahweh your god, who has delighted in you, to place you on the throne of Israel because Yahweh's love for Israel forever. So he made you king, to carry out justice and righteousness.
10 And she gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, and a great quantity of spices and precious stones. Never again did there come such an abundance as what the Queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.

1 Kings — Free Bible

“ You spoke with your mouth and fulfilled it with your hand, as it is today. 25 And so, Yahweh, god of Israel, keep for your servant David, my father, what you promised him, saying, You will not fail to have a man before me sitting on the throne of Israel, if only your sons will take care of their path, to walk before me as you walked before me. 26 And so, god of Israel, please be true to what you spoke to your servant David, my father.
27 But will God really live on the earth? Behold, the sky, the very highest sky, cannot contain you.

“ Indeed, I will give you a wise and discerning mind, so that there will have been no one like you before, and afterwards no one like you will arise. 13 In addition, I will give you what you did not request: wealth and honor, so that not a single king will equal you all your days. 14 If you walk in my paths, to keep my regulations and my commandments, as your father David walked, I will lengthen your life."
15 Solomon awakened and realized it had been a dream.
