“ And he strives in his schemes to raise up leaders in the world, whose names are drawn from the Impure Side, and to glorify their names to a great degree. And sometimes, when he sees that it is impossible to overturn the truth completely, and to cause a complete sinner to become a famed Torah leader - for certainly the Jews would not follow such a man – consequently he clothes himself within a basically upright person, or a tzaddik who is not complete, and plants in his heart the will to attack the aforementioned True Tzaddik, the True Head of the House. ”

“ But chametz which is like blemish of the Da`at/knowledge has no annulment, for after the Da`at is blemished, by this is blemished the Shabbat, which is like the circle and the square, like annulment of the prohibited matter in sixty, for Shabbat receives power from the Da`at as mentioned above. And also the aspect of justice is spoiled, i.e. the heat of the heart which burns and annuls the bad. For the heat of the heart depends mainly on da`at (as Rabbeinu said in another place) . Therefore chametz which is like spoiling the da`at, has no annulment; we just have to burn it out completely. ”

“ Oth 2 Furthermore the Chanukah lamp alludes to the ruach chayim/spirit of life of the Tzadik, whereby we overcome them if he is a complete Tzadik, because length of breath sustains one's intellect. For the intellect corresponds to the wick which kindles via the "oils" in the body. ”

“ And afterwards, even after he breaks the force of the imagination, when he goes again to rise up from level to level, then the power of delusions and all the confusions again spread out, and he needs to again suppress them. ”

Oth 5 וזה בחנית קריאת ההלל וקריאת התורה של חנוכה, זה בחינת תורה ותפילה שעל ידו מבררין הטוב מן הרע כי הלל הוא תפלה ואחר כך קוראין בתורה. כי על ידי התורה מבררין הטוב מן הרע ועל כן קוראין חנוכת המזבח. ”

“ Oth 3 וזהו בחינת הנס של חנוכה כי מלכות יון הרשעה טימאו כל השמנים ומצאו צלוחית של שמן שהי החתום בחותמו של כהן גדול ולא היה בו להדליק רק יום אחד ונעשה נס ודלק שמונה ימים וכו'. כי מלכות הרשעה כשמתגברים על ידי אריכת הרוח שלהם שהוא בחינת רוח סערה וכו' כמבואר שם. אז הם מטמאם כל השמנים שבגוף כי עיקר קיום השמנם שבגוף על ידי אריכת הנשימה ועל כן כשהנשימה הוא מן הקדושה אזי כל השמנים שבגוף קודש. ולהיפך כשמתבר ח"ו הרוח והנשימה דקליפה אזי הם מטמאים חו כל השמנים שבגוף שקיומם על ידי הנשימה כנ"ל. ”
