Smith, McLeod, Macbean, Charlton, Strachey, Northall, Maitland, Hussey, Pike, B. Smith, Bennett (killed) , Mason, Durham, Knox, Farquharson, Worth, and Lindsay. Many of these had joined the train just before the battle.The strength of the Allied Army did not exceed 53,000 men ”
