Max Abraham,  Translation:Principles of the Dynamics of the Electron (1902)

“ Energy theorem and momentum theorems could be generally deduced from the fundamental equations of the dynamics of the electron. To derive the second axiom of Newton, we confined ourselves to quasi-stationary translational motion. There, the concept of mass experienced an extension; the electromagnetic mass is not a scalar, but a tensor with symmetry of an ellipsoid of revolution; both masses, longitudinal and transverse, are functions of velocity. ”

Max Abraham,  Translation:On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies (1909)

“ We have emphasized the illustrative meaning of vectors in Lorentz's theory, i.e., as being the contribution of the aether at the electric and magnetic excitation. In the theory of Minkowski, the vectors which connect and with each other, have no such illustration. There is also no reason, when one takes the standpoint of the relativity principle, to speak about the aether and its electromagnetic properties. ”

Max Abraham,  Translation:The Fundamental Hypotheses of the Theory of Electrons (1904)

“ The matter is different in the optics of moving bodies. The aberration phenomena show, that the universal reference system (see A) doesn't share the orbital motion of Earth around the sun. How does it come, that the electric and optical processes happening on Earth's surface, nevertheless show no influence of Earth's motion? This question was studied by H. A. Lorentz. He has shown, that the absence of an influence of first order in the ratio of Earth's velocity and the speed of light, can very well be brought into agreement with the fundamental hypotheses A to D of electron theory. ”
