Certification

“ When certification is made from a supplementary or special register or the printer's assistant or page and messenger-boy register, or when certification is made from any register to fill a vacancy at any pension agency, and there are more vacancies than one to be filled, the appointing officer may select from the three names certified more than one. ”

“ Accreditation of Repair and Service Firm. – No person shall operate a repair and service firm or act as technical personnel therein without first being accredited by the Department.
Article 129. Certification of Accreditation. – Upon compliance with the requirements for accreditation, the Department shall issue the corresponding certificate of accreditation. A separate certificate shall be required for each branch of an enterprise located in areas outside of the main office. ”

“ The eligible professional, more frequently than is required to qualify for or maintain board certification status--
(I) participates in such a Maintenance of Certification program for a year; and (II) successfully completes a qualified Maintenance of Certification Program practice assessment (as defined in subparagraph (C) (ii) ) for such year. ”

“ At least once in every 12 months, a recognized certification authority must furnish to the Director a report containing an assessment as to whether the recognized certification authority has complied with the provisions of this Ordinance applicable to a recognized certification authority and the code of practice during the report period. ”

“ In addition to the names of persons who qualify in competitive examinations, the names of persons who have lost eligibility on a career or career-conditional register because of service in the armed forces, and the names of persons who lost opportunity for certification or who have served under career or career-conditional appointment when the Commission determines that they should be given certification, may also be entered at such places on appropriate registers and under such conditions as the Commission may prescribe. ”

“ All material representations made by the subscriber to a certification authority for purposes of obtaining a certificate, including all information known to the subscriber and represented in the certificate, shall be accurate and complete to the best of the subscriber’s knowledge and belief, regardless of whether such representations are confirmed by the certification authority. ”

“ The certification shall be made by the entity that selected the individual for and supervised the individual in the approved national service position in which such individual successfully completed a required term of service, in a national service program. `` (b) Effect of Erroneous Certifications— ``If the Corporation determines that the certification under subsection (a) is erroneous or incorrect, the Corporation shall assess against the national service program a charge for the amount of any associated payment or potential payment from the National Service Trust. ”

“ This board is to hold examinations for the lowest grade—the sixth—and to that grade alone appointments shall be made from the eligible list of those passing. The board shall, for each vacancy, certify the names of the five applicants who have passed the examination with the highest credit, such certification to be accompanied by a detailed report showing the qualifications of each person certified. ”

“ The grade of each competitor shall be expressed by the whole number nearest the general average attained by him, and the grade of each eligible shall be noted upon the register of eligibles in connection with his name. When two or more eligibles are of the same grade, preference in certification shall be determined by the order in which their application papers were filed. ”

“ In issuing such certificates, the Commission has 'the power to attach to the issuance of the certificate and to the exercise of the rights granted thereunder such reasonable terms and conditions as the public convenience and necessity may require.' § 7 (e) .
Hearings under § 7 (e) for permanent certification are time consuming. ”

“ Manner Training Is Provided.— ‘‘The Secretary shall ensure, to the maximum extent practicable, that training provided under subsection (a) is provided in person. ‘‘ (c) Certification.— ‘‘Not less frequently than once every two years, the Secretary shall provide training on merit system protection in a manner that the Special Counsel certifies as being satisfactory. ”

“ The apportionment and requisition as to sex shall be observed in certifications for promotion, and upon cause shown that particular experience or qualification is required for the position to be filled selective certification may be made by the Commission in its discretion, but otherwise certification for promotion shall be made from the first three eligibles in the order of standing on the promotion register. ”

“ Financial responsibility in the amount and form required by the department shall be maintained for the term of certification by the business firm. A copy of the certification shall be conspicuously displayed for public review in the business office of a firm engaged in providing services for underground storage tanks at underground storage tank sites. If a firm maintains a business office at more than one location, the certification shall be conspicuously displayed at each location. ”

“ Reforming teacher and school leader certification, recertification, licensing, and tenure systems to ensure that such systems are rigorous and that— (I) each teacher has the subject matter knowledge and teaching skills necessary to help students meet the State’s academic standards; and (II) school leaders have the instructional leadership skills to help teachers instruct and students learn. ”

“ The term `certification' means any technical process whereby a party determines whether a product, for use by more than one local exchange carrier, conforms with the specified requirements pertaining to such product. `` (E) The term `accredited standards development organization' means an entity composed of industry members which has been accredited by an institution vested with the responsibility for standards accreditation by the industry. ”

“ DUTIES OF CERTIFICATION AUTHORITY
Trustworthy system
12. A certification authority must utilise trustworthy systems in performing its services.
Disclosure
13.— (1) A certification authority shall disclose—
(a) its certificate that contains the public key corresponding to the private key used by that certification authority to digitally sign another certificate (referred to in this paragraph as a certification authority certificate) ; (b) any relevant certification practice statement; (c) notice of the suspension or revocation of its certification authority certificate ”

“ Provided, That if upon any register from which certification is to be made there are the names of eligibles who have, under section 1754 of the Revised Statutes, claim of preference in civil appointments, the names of such eligibles shall be certified before the names of other eligibles higher in grade. The Commission shall make regulations that will secure to each of such preference-claiming eligibles, in the order of his grade among other preference claimants, an opportunity to have his claim of preference considered and determined by the appointing officer. ”

“ Timely evaluation– the Secretary shall evaluate the certification in a timely manner and— (I) a person who has properly complied with certification shall be held harmless with regard to eligibility during the period of evaluation; and (II) if the Secretary fails to evaluate the certification in a timely manner and the person is subsequently found to be in violation of subsection (c) , ineligibility shall not apply to the person for that violation. ”

“ The graduate and professional schools increasingly make their final decisions on candidates on the basis of individual records and merits and ignore the bare minimum certification of the ordinary degree. ”

“ Application for certification shall be in writing and shall be made on a formal application blank when such blanks are provided by the board, and each application shall include such engineering data as shall be prescribed by said standards for construction. Copies of all applications and the accompanying engineering data for certifications to cover 50 or more realty improvements shall be filed with or mailed to the State Department on the date on which application is made to the board. ”

“ Standards for Acceptance by Federal Agencies.— (1) In general.—Beginning 2 years after the promulgation of minimum standards under paragraph (3) , no Federal agency may accept a birth certificate for any official purpose unless the certificate conforms to such standards. (2) State certification.— (A) In general.—Each State shall certify to the Secretary of Health and Human Services that the State is in compliance with the requirements of this section. ”

“ CERTIFICATION— In addition to the conditions specified in paragraph (1) , benefits may not be provided to an individual under subsection (a) unless the professor or other individual teaching, leading, or giving the course for which such benefits are provided certifies that— `` (A) such benefits are essential to correct a deficiency of the individual in such course; and `` (B) such course is required as a part of, or is prerequisite or indispensable to the satisfactory pursuit of, an approved program of education. ”

“ The Secretary of State is authorized to make a certification consistent with section 2 (7) (C) (i) of the Resolution with respect to the effectiveness and viability of the Australia Group. (b) The Secretary of Commerce is authorized to make a certification consistent with section 2 (9) of the Resolution with respect to the interests of certain firms in the United States. ”

“ Should a contracting authority require the production of certificates drawn up by independent bodies attesting the compliance of the economic operator with certain quality assurance standards, the contracting authority shall refer to quality assurance systems based on the relevant European standards series certified by bodies that conduct their activities in conformity with the European standards series on certification activity. ”

“ When reviewing a class-certification order, we focus on the evidence contained in the record to determine whether it supports the circuit court's conclusion regarding certification. Asbury Auto. Grp., Inc. v. Palasack, 366 Ark. 601, 237 S.W.3d 462 (2006) . Our focus is "whether the requirements of Rule 23 are met" and "it is totally immaterial whether the petition will succeed on the merits or even if it states a cause of action." Am. ”

“ Advanced Certification or Advanced Credentialing.— `` (1) In general.—The Secretary is authorized to support activities to encourage and support teachers seeking advanced certification or advanced credentialing through high quality professional teacher enhancement programs designed to improve teaching and learning. `` (2) Implementation.—In carrying out paragraph (1) , the Secretary shall make grants to eligible entities to— `` (A) develop teacher standards that include measures tied to increased student academic achievement ”

“ Examinations.— The Administrator shall conduct program examinations of qualified HUBZone small business concerns, using a risk-based analysis to select which concerns are examined, to ensure that any concern examined meets the requirements of paragraph (1) . " (6) Loss of certification.— A HUBZone small business concern that, based on the results of an examination conducted pursuant to paragraph (5) no longer meets the requirements of paragraph (1) , shall have 30 days to submit documentation to the Administrator to be eligible to be certified as a qualified HUBZone small business concern. ”

“ Assessment and Report Required on Business-related Training for the Acquisition Workforce.— (1) Assessment.— The Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment shall conduct an assessment of the following: (A) The effectiveness of industry certifications, other industry training programs, including fellowships, and training and education programs at educational institutions outside of the Defense Acquisition University available to defense acquisition workforce personnel. ”

“ The concerned department shall aim at having consumer product standards established for every consumer product so that consumer products shall be distributed in commerce only after inspection and certification of its quality and safety standards by the department. The manufacturer shall avail of the Philippine Standard Certification Mark which the department shall grant after determining the product's compliance with the relevant standard in accordance with the implementing rules and regulations. ”

“ Minimum training curriculum requirements. " (C) Minimum training hour requirements. " (D) Minimum hands-on training requirements. " (E) Minimum trainee competency and proficiency requirements.
" (F) Minimum requirements for training program quality control.
" (3) Accreditation and certification fees. The Administrator (or the State in the case of an authorized State program) shall impose a fee on --
" (A) persons operating training programs accredited under this title; and
" (B) lead-based paint activities contractors certified in accordance with paragraph (1) . ”

“ Proficiency in any subject upon which an examination shall be held shall be credited in grading the standing of the persons examined in proportion to the value of a knowledge of such subject in the branch or part of the service which the applicant seeks to enter.
3. No one shall be entitled to be certified for appointment whose standing upon a just grading in the general examination shall be less than 65 per cent of complete proficiency in the first three subjects mentioned in this rule, and that measure of proficiency shall be deemed adequate. ”
